Tom Moriarty designer woollen hat
It is a great pleasure to present this hand made 100% wool hat featuring the wings from the front cover of Tom’s debut album “Fire In The Doll’s House”, which is made by artisan producers in the Aosta valley in Italy.
Tom says, “I spent a year travelling around Italy in my camper. When I was visiting the Aosta valley I headed up one of the small side valleys and passed this store with beautiful woollen products in the window. It was a pleasure to find out that they weaved their own wool and the sheep grazed in the field outside. I spent some time their watching them work on their own weaving loom, and we talked about their designs and the love and care they put into each item. I loved their work and asked them about making a woollen hat for myself and my fans. We talked about designs, my life, my music and my values and together we produced this beautiful hat. I love this soft slouchy design, it’s really warm in the winter and super-comfortable. You will love it.
Some of you know will know that the wings are on the front cover of my first album and they will now feature on my clothing items as the logo. To me the wings represent freedom, freedom to travel, freedom of expression, freedom to love and freedom of thought. May you have that kind of freedom.”
